founder & physician assistnatEmily is a board certified Physician Assistant trained at Keck School of Medicine (USC) in Los Angeles. She is originally from Atlanta and spends her time between the two cities.
Since graduating, Emily has spent her career in urgent care and the wellness industry, while also honing her craft in aesthetics. After working in health care throughout the pandemic, she decided to pursue her dream of a more creative and entrepreneurial path. MAR is the culmination of Emily’s medical experience and expertise, alongside her passion for creativity and community.
Her medical approach is grounded in empathy and trust, coupled with a keen eye for art and design. She is excited to offer boutique and personalized services in regenerative skin health, aesthetics and wellness at MAR.
Chelsea Hunter Harrison, L.E
Director of Skin Health Chelsea Hunter Harrison has over a decade of experience in the wellness industry. With great respect for the skin’s natural function, Chelsea eschews harsh traditional facial practices that offer short-term results at the cost of long-term health, and instead helps her clients build resilient, balanced skin.
Decades of living with chronic migraine lends Chelsea a deep understanding of the musculature of the face and neck and personal experience with the way tension and inflammation accelerate skin aging. This also spurred a fascination with facial massage techniques, Gua Sha, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
Chelsea’s advice and recipes have been featured on Into the Gloss, Food 52, The Bleu, and Teen Vogue.
maria kellam, L.E
licensed esthetician & reiki 1 & 2 certifiedMaria is a graduate of the Aveda institute Atlanta, and a Licensed Esthetician of 15 years. She has spent her adult years working in all avenues of hospitality and prides herself in creating memorable, personalized experiences. She has extensive training with different facial machines and modalities, but has found that the power has always been within the palm of her hands combined with high quality ingredients.
During the pandemic, she wanted to further her understanding of energy work that came to her so naturally, and trained with Dr. Amy King for two certifications of Reiki.
Her facials are result focused, and energy driven, creating not only results that you see, but those that you feel. She believes that aging is a gift, and also understands the want to do so gracefully. That acne and rosacea can be frustrating and requires patience and time. Maria believes that with the holistic approach of science, organic ingredients, and medicine is where we will find the answers we are looking for.
